Meet Our Staff

My name is Lori, and along with two brothers, I was born in Colorado Springs, CO.  Dad was an Air Force pilot.  He retired after twenty years and settled us in Raeford, NC where he was born and raised, and where I attended junior high and high school.

 Having worked since I was 15-years-old in a variety of jobs, I'm sometimes called 'Jill of Many Trades.'  I've been a greeting card retail display representative, radio DJ, newspaper stinger reporter, volunteer rescue squad EMT... and that was before college!  When I'm not working, I like to do crossword puzzles, repair and refurbish furniture, design my own greeting cards, sing at karaoke shows, and decorate cakes.

After earning a B.S. Degree in Communications from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC, I was first a copywriter for a local AM/FM radio station.  I didn't make much money, but I loved it!  A few years later, I 'upgraded' and was the Executive Secretary for the President of a Swedish/American NiCad battery manufacturer.  Then 'stuff' happened and the company dismantled, so...

Finding myself unemployed, I took a friend's suggestion and enrolled in a bartending class.  It was loads of fun, and I got my first job before the course was even complete!  In 1995, I moved to the Grand Strand and have tended bar in mostly south end restaurants.

The years have been filled with typical ups and downs, and I no longer work in the service industry.  But I've always believed everything happens for a reason, and I very much enjoy working for Dr. Hudak and meeting all of his patients.
